Submission rules:
- Each entrant may upload up to 3 tracks for consideration.
- Upload mp3 or ogg files only.
- Max file size is 15MB.
- Encode all files at a minumum of 128kbps. These files will not be used for the final release (we will request lossless versions for that when the time comes), but low quality encoding doesn't put your track in the best light.
- ALL FILES MUST BE TAGGED with artist name, track title, and with some contact info in the "comments" field. This can be an email address, a web page we can contact you from (such as a myspace page or last.fm user account), or an IDE HQ user account. If your files aren't tagged, we aren't going to go out of our way to hunt you down.
- Filenames themselves should include your artist name and the track title (i.e. "artist-track.mp3"). This will help ensure unique file names, and will make it easier for us to sort through them.
- While we won't necessarily exclude any particular genres, one should bear in mind our name- "dark electronics" is pretty broad, but we are not at all likely to include rock bands with a keyboardist or house music. See Volume 1 if you're in doubt, it's a damn good idea of what we're looking for.
- Exclusive tracks/remixes are preferred.
- Deadline is May 31 2009.
- When you have uploaded your track(s), please contact us using the contact form at IDE HQ so we know when new stuff has been uploaded.
